Introducing the Club

First of all, welcome to the Quicksilver Running Club of San Jose (QRC).

We look forward to you joining in the fun.

The Quicksilver Running Club is a nonprofit organization that was formed in the early 1980s promoting physical well-being and friendships through running. Additionally, it has a purpose that reaches beyond the club, into our community, to promote Healthy Kids through trail running, and Trail Advocacy by expanding the accessibility of trails.  Over the years we have contributed over $100,000 to charity as well as maintaining trails within the Quicksilver County Park.  In recent years our club has made it’s mark on the competitive landscape, specially in the ultra running distances, but we also have many members running shorter distances on both road and trail… so there is an opportunity for all to get out there and have fun. The Quicksilver Running Club does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, sex or age in admission into membership, services, treatment, or participation in its programs, race events or activities.

Don't let the word "running" in our name scare you. We invite runners and joggers of all levels, as well as walkers, to join and participate in club events. Bring the family, well-behaved pets and baby joggers out to club runs or events.  In the history of our club posted here on the web site you will find that the QRC has been around since the early 1980s and is steeped in a rich history of running, for all levels, abilities and interests.  Ask any of our club members, and they will say the support and camaraderie along the way is as important as the results and successes.

For more information about the Quicksilver Running Club please feel free to contact any of our Board of Directors by email, Facebook, or our "contact us" page.
