Quicksilver Running Club
Running with mountain lions since 1983
Greetings, Ultra Runners!
Thank you for participating in the 32nd Annual Quicksilver Endurance Runs. We are happy to provide you the best experience for your trail running and post event celebration pleasure. Please read this entire document to familiarize yourself with everything as you prepare for your event. You will find information for both the 100K and 50K.
As in 2016, the 100K and 50K both start at the Hacienda Entrance and both finish at the Mockingbird Hill Lane Entrance to the Almaden Quicksilver County Park. For those that do not have crew or someone to drive your car to the finish area (less than 3 miles away), we will have finish line drop bags and shuttles to take you back to your car when you are ready.
Special thanks goes to Patagonia, Hoka One One, Sports Basement, and The Running Revolution for their sponsorship. Besides the killer swag, Patagonia will be sponsoring an “In Race Lucky Silver Mining Experience.” 3 winners who find the silver whistles will win a Patagonia “Trail Running Apparel Kit”. Stay tuned for clue on how to find these whistles during the race. First clue, “Whistles will be uniquely hidden on the 100K, 50K, and 100K/50K Course Design. No mining equipment needed.”
Throughout your run, you can look forward to the post-race party at “Chez Darce’ Bar & Grill,” hosted by Paul Fick. Paul takes the celebration up a notch yet again.
Safe Training! Please contact us if you have any questions.
Our very best always,
John Brooks, Race Director
and the Quicksilver Running Club
